The app will actually mirror the website where there are a group of Top Stories pinned to the top and after those top stories, the articles will be sorted by date and time. You see, we have found that some of our users will open the app a few times a day while others may only open the app once a day. By pinning those top stories to the top, this will ensure all users see those important stories for the day.
With that said, at the bottom of the app there is a Sections tab where we do have a Local News section which will be listed by date and time if you are interested.
